Just download and start playing it. We have provided a direct link full setup of the game. Also, impressive real-time strategy game. Also, revolves around Galactic Civil War. Includes construction of Dead Star. You also cannot rotate the in-game camera at all. Even space battles have the same isometric view as the land battles.
Sound: Sound effects and music are excellent as they are in most Star Wars titles. All of the hero units have voices similar to the movies, but you can certainly tell the difference. Enjoyment: From a technical standpoint, the game runs well. The galactic map is fun and offers the most strategy in the game. Heroes add to the Star Wars atmosphere, and blowing up planets with the Death Star is a treat. However, Empire at War is held back by shallow, small-scale battles.
Then, send down land forces to secure the planet below. Please be advised that Windows 10 operating system will receive frequent hardware driver and software updates following its release; this may affect game compatibility.
But make sure to use a download client provided in here! The basic setup of the galactic level gives the players a few starting planets and some starting units and a bit of cash.
Some specialized buildings can only be built by certain factions, or on certain planets. The Ion Cannon, which disables ships in orbit, can only be built by the Rebel player.
The Hutt Palace, where you recruit bounty hunters, can only be built on Tatooine, Nal Hutta and a couple of other planets. Owning more planets gives you more resources that let you build bigger armies to take over even more planets. Each planet offers unique bonuses: gaining Mon Calamari will let you start pumping out cruisers and Star Destroyers, Naboo gives Rebel tanks a bonus, Bespin generates bonus mining credits, etc.
The galactic map also makes use a wide variety of heroes, each of whom has a unique role to play in your overall strategy. In a planetary battle Chewbacca can take command of an enemy vehicle while Colonel Veers can deploy additional squads of stormtroopers from hit massive AT-AT.
To counter this effect, generic bounty hunters can be hired and paid off to eliminate a rival hero from the game. It is a truly epic adventure that is sent in a galaxy far, far away. You have two campaigns that you can play through. You can play as The Empire or as the Rebels. A time period that I love in the Star Wars universe. Each side as you have probably guessed plays quite differently. This ranges from the story, the characters, and pretty much everything else.
The Empire missions pretty much revolve around you making sure the Death Star is getting made properly, of course oppressing the galaxy and keeping everyone in their place is also a goal.
When you play as the Rebel side it feels like you have more variety to the missions that you will be doing. Taking out the Star Destroyer factory and the freeing of the Wookie planet are the most fun in my opinion. You take part in battles on land and in space and both are a lot of fun.
You can even use iconic Star Wars characters to help swing the battle in your favor. The two different campaigns in Star Wars Empire At War are more than enough to make this game worth playing. Both of them are a decent length and very enjoyable if you are a Star Wars fan. However, you do have more gameplay modes for you to enjoy. There is a really cool mode called Galactic Conquest. These were a ton of fun and so much that I wished there were more. If you want to just jump straight into the action then you go into the skirmish mode.
This is a straight to action kind of mode where you need to protect your own basis and taking down the enemy ones. I found this mode to be very relaxing. I know that sounds strange, but it is the kind of mode where you fire up the game, play a few rounds and you are done.
I know that as far as RTS style games go it is a tad on the simple side. However, I do feel that this is a great deal of fun and even more awesome if you are a big Star Wars fan. The presentation is showing its age a bit by today's standards. That though does not take away from what a fun experience the game is.
Scoops don't get much bigger than this. Having sent our Bothans on an infiltration mission into LucasArts' virtually impregnable fortress, we've managed to get our hands on the world's first concrete details on Star Wars: Empire At War. This is an RTS still so early in development, so carefully guarded that the title you see boldly emblazoned across the top of this page and on the front cover is still unconfirmed at the time of going to press.
Add to this the guidance of LucasArts and the titanic war-based possibilities provided by the Star Wars universe, and you've got the recipe for what may be an RTS so planet-shattenng that it could make the Death Star look like a water pistol.
