If there was no shop you would have to contact Etsy to get the download and they're almost impossible to get a hold of when you really need help with something, so I don't see them finding your download for you.

If you have the Etsy app installed on your device, the email takes you to the app where you will see the download links. You can't download your Etsy digital files from the Etsy app.
At least as of September when I am writing this blog post. To download your Etsy digital files on an iPhone or iPad you need to bypass the app. Here's how.. This is your account tab. Now you will see all the goodies you've bought from Etsy, with the most recent purchase first.

I've bought several instant download patterns on Etsy and have not had problems in downloading. There is a line that says "View your digital files now or use the link in your receipt". The first part is underlined as a link. I click on it and it takes me directly to the download page. I don't see how Etsy could make it any easier unless they were to make the link in bold caps. That's the only thing that may help.

So rather than sending you 6 large image files, I can compress these down to a smaller size and send you just 1 file — rather than 6!
This helps a ton, especially in the case of an Etsy seller like myself. Since the majority of our digital products offer you various file formats, and Etsy limits file sizes and the amount of files you upload, zip files are the norm and standard. So you purchased a digital download or printable and need to know how to download a zip file from Etsy.
